Spending a 3-day, 2-night weekend at The Residence Bintan offers a serene escape from the hustle of city life. Located on the south-eastern coast of Bintan Island, this luxurious resort is accessible via a 55-minute ferry ride from Singapore, followed by a 1.5-hour land transfer.

Upon arrival, guests are welcomed into spacious villas, some featuring private infinity pools and direct beach access, providing an immediate sense of tranquillity.

One can indulge in the award-winning spa by ila, offering treatments inspired by traditional rice farming rituals. For the adventurous, complimentary activities such as kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and cycling are available, along with guided tours to local attractions like the mangrove forests and nearby villages. When it come to sunset time, one can opt to sign up for the firefly activities. I do recommend spending more time at the resort to relax thou given the awesome facilities the resort found within the compound.
Evenings can be spent strolling along the clean, well-maintained beach, relaxing in the infinity pool overlooking the sea, or enjoying live jazz music at the bar. The resort’s attentive staff and thoughtful amenities ensure a memorable and rejuvenating weekend getaway.

Rica Rica:
Specializing in Indonesian cuisine with a modern twist, Rica Rica offers dishes like lobster gado gado and Wagyu beef rendang. The restaurant operates for dinner from Sunday to Thursday and for both lunch and dinner on Fridays and Saturdays.
We had the chance to engage in the activity of making sambal. At The Residence Bintan, sambal—a quintessential part of Indonesian cuisine—plays a flavourful role in enhancing the dining experience.
